Ravin Wijesinghe is President and Chief Technology Officer of ESyPet Corporation, bringing more than 30 years of experience in information technology, software development, systems architecture, interfaces, imaging, and healthcare information systems. His career has included technology leadership in healthcare as well as the development of custom applications and software products for organizations across multiple industries.

A lifelong pet owner, Ravin has lived with dogs, cats, and other pets from a young age. That personal connection to animals, combined with decades of experience designing technology around real-world workflows, helped shape his vision for EsyPet.

Ravin recognized strong parallels between healthcare workflows and the everyday processes involved in grooming and pet care. In both environments, a successful experience depends on making it easier to find a service provider, register, schedule, document intake information, check in, coordinate care, record services, check out, communicate, follow up, and send timely reminders. He saw an opportunity to apply proven workflow and information-management concepts to technology built specifically for pets, pet owners, groomers, pet sitters, dog walkers, and other pet-care providers.

Today, alongside his other business ventures and software projects, Ravin especially enjoys building technology that helps bring people together through the pets they love. He believes that the growing role of pets in people’s daily lives – particularly as many people began spending more time with their pets following the COVID-19 pandemic – creates an even greater need for simple, connected tools that support communication, organization, and continuity of care.

Experience & Background

• More than 30 years of experience in information technology, software development, systems design, implementation, and technology management.
• Healthcare technology leadership experience, including software development and Health Information Management at Medical Clinic of Houston.
• Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ESyntaxis Corporation, providing IT consulting, custom solutions, software/application development, and web development.
• M.A. in Computer Information Systems, B.Sc. in Computer Systems Design, and B.Sc. in Computer Science with a minor in Telecommunications from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
• Recipient of a NASA/JSC award for outstanding performance on the GDSS project; has also served in University of Houston-Clear Lake advisory and student-mentoring roles.

Community Leadership & Service

Beyond his business and technology work, Ravin has remained active in community and volunteer service. He has served as a board member of Engineers Without Borders – Houston Chapter and on the College of the Mainland RPA Advisory Council, in addition to other volunteer and advisory roles.

Ravin and his wife also support organizations and community programs that provide mental health counseling and assistance for abused children, women, and men; Habitat for Humanity initiatives; and senior citizen clubs. Ravin has also supported and sponsored STEM program events at the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL), helping encourage and inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists.
